A one day event being held on the outskirts of London (close to M25, near Epping: www.towntocountry.co.uk/gilwell/ ). This event is being facilitated by the authors of ‘Social Calls of the Bats of Britain & Ireland’ with a view to giving the stage to highly respected bat researchers who have in some way contributed or have something to contribute towards the understanding of social calls in bats. The material covered during the day will range from scientific research through to practical applications of knowledge (e.g. use of acoustic lures). Towards the end of the day it is anticipated that there will be an open discussion about what could be considered by bat workers for future areas for study etc.
During the event there will be ample networking time as well as the opportunity to ask the facilitators and presenters questions about the subject-matter being discussed. Buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Approximately one month before the event, joining instructions will be issued providing full details of the confirmed programme. For those seeking overnight accommodation in the area a Google search centred around the post code E4 7QW (Gilwell Park Training & Event Centre, Bury Road, Chingford, London) should provide ample options nearby at different price levels.
There is an opportunity for a small number of Research Posters to be displayed relating to work being carried out by persons not giving presentations. To discuss opportunities in this respect please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0870 234 0002
There is an opportunity for a small number of trade stands and the like to be present (a fee is chargeable in this respect). To discuss opportunities in this respect please contact email@example.com or phone 0870 234 0002
